STOP GAZ DE SCHISTE ! (Ni ici Ni Ailleurs)

En Albanie, l’exploitation du pétrole (huiles lourdes type bitumeux) a commencé à la fin des années 1930. Avec les moyens actuels (forages horizontaux, stimulation et fracturation hydraulique…) la production s’est envolée ces dernières années. 145 puits y ont été forés en 2013.
Un accident a eu lieu le 1er avril 2015 à Marinza, un village de 4000 habitants. Des geysers de boue et d’hydrocarbures mélangés aux produits utilisés pour forer les puits ont envahi un quartier de ce village et obligé une soixantaine de familles à évacuer leurs maisons.

The development of oil  (heavy oils like tar) in Albania began in the late 30s. With new technologies (such as horizontal drilling, hydraulic fracturing and stimulation …) the production jumped dramatically in recent years. 145 wells have been drilled in 2013.
An accident occurred on April 1st, 2015 in Marinza, a village of 4,000 inhabitants. Geysers and mud mixed with oil products used for drilling the wells have invaded a district of the village and forced sixty families to evacuate their homes.
